Laminate flooring with the look of real wood
Wood-effect laminate gives you the warmth of timber without the cost or upkeep. It's the floor we're most often asked about for open-plan rooms.
Low upkeep, high impact
Laminate is quick to clean, hard-wearing and comes in a huge range of oak, grey and rustic finishes. In a through-lounge or kitchen-diner it gives one continuous floor from front to back.
Our laminate packages use AC4-rated boards, which are made for the wear of a busy home, and come fitted with underlay, scotia trim around the edges and door plates.

Our laminate fitting routine
Check the subfloor
Laminate needs a flat base. We check on the visit and screed or ply-board where needed.
Lay the underlay
Underlay goes down first to smooth minor bumps and cut noise.
Fit and finish
Boards are laid and finished with scotia and door plates for a tidy edge.
Laminate, plainly explained
Is thicker laminate worth paying for?
Most laminate is between 6mm and 12mm. For a solid, real-wood feel, 10mm or 12mm is best; 7mm or 8mm can work if the subfloor is smooth and budget is tight.
What does AC4 mean?
It's a wear rating. AC4 boards are hard-wearing and suited to busy areas of a family home, which is why our laminate deals use them.
Can laminate go in a kitchen?
It's popular in kitchen-diners. If the room sees a lot of water, though, vinyl or LVT can be the safer choice — we'll talk through both on the visit.
